Almost every one who use the computer knows the name of Trojan and thinks it as a virus. Many times your antivirus has caught the infected files
and termed it as Trojan. Do you really know what the Trojan is. I asked
it to many people and most of them replied that Trojan is a type of
virus. But i am not agree with this kind of answer. What is VIRUS??
Virus is a self replicating computer program as a biological virus do.
The main difference between virus and Trojan is that Trojan have no
ability to replicate itself. Trojan horse
disguise itself as a valuable software or data. If one download this
software, he is now infected by this Trojan. Trojan is very dangerous
computer vulnerability.
There are mainly two parts of Trojan
1.client and 2. server
client part of Trojan is for victim's computer
and server part is for attacker's computer. Once the client part
execute on the client's computer, it starts sending information to the
server part running at attacker's computer. Most of the Trojans have
ability to give control of victims computer to attacker. Attacker can do
now everything in victim's computer what a victim can do. Attacker can
use your system to hack any other website and you will be traced by
cyber experts. He can know you stored password of bank accounts and
email id. I think there's no need to explain the harm of stolen bank
account passwords and email account passwords.

- Key loggers
- destructive Trojans
- Denial of Service (DOS) Trojans
- Software detection killers
- FTP Trojans
NOTE: A Trojan can have one of these functionalities or any combination of these.
Protection from Trojans
- install a good antivirus and update it regularly.
- do not open attachments of the emails sent by unknown.
- download files only from trusted websites.
- scan every downloaded file before using.
